Keeping Your House Clean With A Busy Schedule

Messy House? Busy Schedule? Do you feel like no matter how many times you’ve cleaned in a week, your house still looks like a mess? Trust me, I’ve been there! It’s a pain to continuously clean on a busy schedule.

Let me tell you, I hate clean. With a passion. I do not appreciate coming home to a dirty house. So what to do I do? I clean. The next day, it’s still a mess. So I clean again. It’s a continuous cycle. No matter how many times I clean, the house is still a mess! My days are very long and I usually come home pretty late after being stuck in traffic for quite some time. The last thing I want to do is to come home to a messy house and clean. Here are some of my secrets to keeping my house keep with a crazy schedule.

Schedule a day to clean – I usually clean and finish what I need to finish on Sundays. This includes, laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc. Once my cleaning is complete, I make sure that any mess I make, I clean immediately. This way, my mess will not build up throughout the week. This also reduces cleaning time throughout your week!

Chore list – Distribute a chore list to those in your household. Hold them accountable for their section of the house. It’s much easier to divide and conquer than to do things yourself.

Take shortcuts – I guess they say, there are no shortcuts in life.. But if you’re on a busy tight schedule why not!

1. Don’t fold your clothes – hang them instead! This saves time folding and putting away clothes.
2. Use a robot vacuum to vacuum your house and let it run as you home. Why vacuum when someone can do it for you!
3. Clean as you go Рwipe down the sink after your brush your teeth  in the morning or sink right after you finish with dishes.
4.¬† Do a little cleaning throughout the week. If see something on the floor, pick it up. Or if you’re about to walk out the door and see a pile of shoes, organize them. Doing a little bit each day goes a long ways throughout the week.
